  • Light Flyweight - 1985-1995

If any (minor/unsung) division had an abundance of riches during one decade then it's the above.

The list of great fighters during that era include.....

    Michael Carbajal _ USA - 49(33)-4(1)
    Jung-Koo Chang - South Korea - 38(17)-4(1)
Humberto Gonzalez - Mexico - 43(30)-3(3) - (by the way, I heard he runs a successful butchers shop now. Anyone care to elaborate on this?)
    Hiroki Ioka - Japan - 33(17)-8(5)
    Muangchai Kittikasem - Thailand - 25(17)-4(4)
    Saman Sorjaturong - Thailand - 46(34)-8(4)-1
    Myung-Woo Yuh - South Korea - 34(14)-1(0)

Plus many other excellent fighters who won a belt for a bout or two. I think all of the above had at least one fight against the other & many were fight of the year candidates.

I'll be honest, no division today has the talent of that division in that era in my humble opinion.

If anyone can give me current information on any of the above I would be very happy & will buy you a beer next time you're in the Miami area. Thanks

I guess it really is an unsung/minor division
