    Not much...

So if he wore a knuckle duster on his hand, that wouldn't hurt more either?

Closed minded boxing fans tryin to salvage anythin against MMA LOL

Boxing gloves and MMA gloves are virtually no difference, a little but not a lot like ppl lead on to...The padding on boxing gloves barley does anythin to stop the force of a punch that is being pushed thru from the force of the body

haha vitor the fighter known for gassing in any fight that goes past rd1.
james toney has been fighting 12rds for 10yrs+. GTFO

and dont say vitors fights took more out of him. ive seen him gas just boxing
MMA is more of a cardio demanding sport, go try it sometime in real life

Boxers get a break every 3 minutes while MMA fighters use their whole body muscles and go 5 minutes strong each round. Let an MMA fighter jus stand up and use his arms it will be easy work...put a boxer and try to last in an MMA match and his cardio wont last...they use their whole body muscles

G Dog had to say it

Actually, it's the bigger gloves [or gloves at all] that have caused the most trouble. Having smaller gloves, or not having any at all, would make sure the fights ended a lot quicker. Gloves have almost certainly caused more deaths. Having very small mitts would look brutal, but in reality it would be safer. Boxers take far too many punches.

yeah but that 12 oz glove is going to have atleast 6 oz just in the wrist.....thats not more padding between the fist and the knuckles and dosnt greatly increase the elasticity of the glove.

the diffrence is that 4 oz is lighter then 12 oz and you can throw 4 oz faster then 12 oz given that kenetic energy is something like 1/2m*v^2 thus a faster punch is going to be exponentially harder then a heavier punch.

Truth is the power is jus to a smaller area and hurts the same. How is Toney going to shoulder roll with those little gloves?

Vitor is way faster and has way more cardio, I'd bet all my points on Vitor if this fight happens
have you just started watching mma? vitor is a 1 round fighter.....and he was outstruck by randy couture of all people.....i been hit with boxing gloves and mma gloves and there is def a big difference

From experience being hit with MMA gloves and 10-16oz Boxing gloves...MMA gloves are more lethal. Like the post above said...smaller gloves = more dangerous.

Toney will make vitor his ***** in a boxing match
