Fan of both Pac and Cotto......whats your take on 144-145 catch weight?

I feel like if Pac feels he can fight at his best at 143... then let him.
But let Cotto fight at his best, at 147.

Beat him at his best... or don't fight him.
If Pac wants to come in lighter, then that's fine.

If Manny Pac wants to be the welterweight champion, by beating the welterweight champion... then do it at welterweight. And I don't want to hear "well technically anything between 141lbs and 147lbs is welterweight."

When someone asks what weight is welterweight... I say 147lbs.

I don't say... "Welllllllll anywhere between 141lbs and 147lbs reallyyy.."

Beat Cotto at his best, or wait until you can..

So I say if Manny wants to come in lighter to keep his speed, like Floyd came in lighter against DLH... then I don't see the big deal... but don't make the champion suffer, beat him at his best.

I'm fine with the catchweight. I've said numerous times a year ago it was thought to be suicide if pac fought cotto. Now people cry over a couple of lbs? 50+ pro fights and this would Pac's 1st catchweight. I understand he's #1 and all so he's going to get his fair share of hate, but after what he's given the sport and myself as a fan he's earned the right to ask for a couple of pounds. If Cotto thinks a couple pounds will prevent him from winning the fight, don't sign on & he won't sign on. One thing we know about Cotto is that he is a fighter first and a businessman second.

I have no problem with any weight they want to fight at. It makes no difference, cause Pacquiao wins even if it's at 47. I mean, who the hell cares -- if Cotto agrees to a catchweight and puts his name on a contract he's saying "I can make the weight". End of story.
