As much as I dislike OP, you can't deny Mayweather's longetivity. That's going to be one of the main things his legacy will get credit for long after he retires.

Didn't he also request Hatton and Cotto and they didn't want neither was ready?? Wasn't he calling for Tsyzu, then he got KO'd by Hatton? How do you blame Floyd for other fighters not wanting the fight?

He offered to fight all but Williams soon after his best win, lost it, won it back, then moved up. Cotto said the fight was never mentioned or offered to him by his promoter, nor did he ask for it. So, why is Floyd to blame for that when he had already offered the fight to Cotto at 140 and was declined? Shane declined the fight more than once.

Again, you can't blame Floyd when MANY of the great fighters didn't want to fight him.
Floyd wanted those guys that were mentioned only when Floyd had the upper hand. When he didn't have the upper hand, he was not as willing.

-Hatton, Marquez, Guerrero, Ortiz, Sharmba were fighting in a division that they were NOT known for nor proved themselves. Ortiz didn't even have to revenge his brutal defeat to Maidana BUT someone like Manny has to revenge his losses, change promoter, give up all PPV money, take a test and so on. Manny still didn't get the fight!

        - Still on the green side, Canelo, had to do a CW. Size was Canelo's only real advantage .... but Floyd tried to take that away from Canelo .... lol!

Secondly, it takes more than just talk. You actually have to fight the guy when the opportunity comes.

        - The Cotto opportunity was there in late 2007/2008 but Floyd didn't take it.
        - The Mosley fight was there soon after you "think" that Floyd wanted to fight Mosley yet Floyd was interviewed many many times and said NO, NO and NO!!!
Also Mosley was interviewed many many times and he said YES, YES and YES!!!
        - Williams called him out but Floyd didn't even get the courage to say "maybe"
        - Manny has been waiting for years.
        - Sergio Martinez called him out and was ready to go down in weight.
        - Margarito fight was there. Margarito was waiting and delaying his next fight but Floyd said NO!

Evidence that once again money mayweather fans are not boxing fans in any way shape or form. They don't follow any other fighter, they don't talk about anyother fighter. And when Floyd retires from boxing so will they.

He was only "retired" for one year of the decade though.

2008 is the only year he didn't have a fight.

              Edit - Just saw this

That was this current decade though. And that was still over a year.
