To answer the question, it doesn't really bother me if it happens on accident but I'd find it vulgar and gross if a woman just started doing it on purpose. In general I don't fart in front of people and don't like when people do it around me. It's weird, perhaps just the way I was brought up by a crazy mother who would smack the crap out of us if we ever burped or farted in front of people.
