Nadal deliberately tanks the hard court season so he keeps his win record over Federer and Djokovic and so that he's fit enough to defend the French.

Novak might win Monaco and some other clay court events, but when he faces Nadal in the finals of the french open its going to be the same old **** that we see every year.

Hopefully Djokovic retires him though, I don't want to see him beat Sampras in grand slams.

If Novak beats him then he's definitely athlete of the year

Nadals season peaks during the clay season/Wimbledon. He is most dangerous there and will be because his game is perfect for Clay and there aren't many good grass players...he is always vulnerable first week of Wimbledon though, second week it turns to dirt and resembles clay to a certain degree. It definitely helps his serve too.
