I had a 3 year lay off and got back in after three months and won by KO. i did however have a fight in the middle of the lay off too, when I was temporarily fit again. but it was 18 months since last op when I fought, so that was 15month straight with no gym. it will differ for everyone but if you are determined 8-12 weeks should get you back in to tip top shape.
