  • basketball dream teams: by decade

in a turnoment between the best players in the 2000's, 1990's, 1980's, and 70's, who'd be on top.

you got to pick 5 from each decade, but they must play diffrent positions.

    1970's:
    center- willis reed
    PF- Julis erving
    SG- David thompson
    PG- nate archibald
    SF- Oscar robinson

    1980's:
    center: Kareem abdul jabbar
    PF: Karl Malone
    SF: larry bird
    PG: magic johnson
    SG: Joe Dumars

    1990's:
    center- patrick ewing
    PF- charles barkley
    SF: Grant hill
    PG: John stockton
    SG: micheal jordon

    2000's:
    center: Shaq
    PF: tim duncan
    SF- lebron james
    PG: steve nash
    SG- Kobe bryant

i cant use the same person twice, so say these for teams were in a tournoment, who would win? which is the better team?

Wow!! Did you put this together??!!

The 70's team, though a high scoring offensive machine, Is a "finess" type of team, would get out hustled, I'd go with 80's squad vs the 90's Squad, But I would've had Isiah Thomas at Point Guard, John Stockton was the best at assist' (next to Jason Kidd),...Erving "Magic" Johnson takes him everytime.

hard to choose...but in a best of seven "Finals" series...

1980's Squad game 7 winners over 1990's Squad.

No offense to your 1990s list, but would you actually choose Ewing over Hakeem Olajuwan?

Oh ****, you mean olympic teams?

                  Couple problems with your list;

Willis Reed belonged in the 60s not 70s. even then you wouldnt put him above russell & wilt. He wouldnt make the top list for centers in any decade. his game was on decline in the 70s while kareem was on the way up. same thing with oscar robertson. he belongs in the 60s not 70s.

team 90s you put ewing over dream? he's not even over the admiral.

                  1960s
                  C-Wilt Chamberlain
                  C-Bill Russell
                  SF-Rick Barry
                  SG-Jerry West
                  PG-Oscar Robertson

                  1970s
                  C-Kareem Abdul Jabbar
                  PF- Bob Mcadoo
                  SF- George Gervin
                  SG- Julius Erving
                  PG- Nate Archibald

                  1980s
                  C-Jabbar
                  PF-Kevin McHale
                  SF-Larry Bird
                  SG-Michael Jordan
                  PG-Magic Johnson

                  1990s

                  PF-Karl Malone

                  SG-Michael Jordan
                  PG-John Stockton
