There's nothing wrong with religion, there's a problem with Islam and Muslims. I can safely say that I hate Muslims. I live very close to the most heavily dense area in the United States of Muslims and part of me fears what these people would do. Not all of them are bad but majority of them are.
And the village idiot for this thread has shown himself! Welcome!
How can this be tolerable in the 21st century in any country? This has to be very common although I have only read 2 incidents in the past week, this shit probably happens every single day over there to women. That's sad.
As I said in my previous post, just the fact that America execute more people than they do in medieval third world countries like Somalia and Iraq speaks volumes, and it has to be because there's fundamental flaws with society as a whole. Start with fixing that.
Tell me again, what the total population is of Iraq and Somalia, and compare it to the total population is of the U.S.A.
damn, that's some brutal **** to do to someone, especially over this...lots of crazy and evil in this world, it's a shame human beings think like this.
Can't really compare human beings to those who do these kinds of things.
Honestly, if they've already been locked up it's usually too late. Rehabilitation is a wonderful tool but tend to fail more times than it succes.
You have to ask yourself why people do the things they do, and try to combat the issue before it becomes a regular problem.
Like Poverty, we always say that these people are lazy and should get off their asses and get a job and do good for themselves here in the western world, but there's reasons why they are where they are, and letting them fend for themselves becomes society's problem the moment they start stealing/killing/selling drugs etc in desperation.
At this is the point they start to annoy us and we say lock them up/build more prisons, kill them off. The truth on the other hand is that at this point in their life they start to cost more tax dollars to keep locked up year after year than it would've cost to have measures that would help the lowest income / most desperate families get a decent start in life before they ended up where they did.
As I said, instead of blaming thousends upon thousends of criminals start to look into the issue and ask yourself.. Why is this a problem and how do we fix this fundamental problem in society. Not saying we can get rid of crime, that's utopia, but at some point when the prisons are overcrowded and a western society execute more people than they do in third world countries we have to ask our self.. What the fuck just happened.
The answer to the problem is, ABORTION. That goes especially regarding your comment about people calling other people lazy and to get off their asses. This usually comes from the vary same people who are Pro-Life, but complain when those vary same people grow up and become welfare cases. That's hypocrisy.
As far as the rest of your post, there is no way to prevent people from committing heinous crimes in a nation of 300+ mill. No federal program will work, except clearing out prisons from drug offenders by ending the war on drugs. << That's the only thing that can be done.
But violent offenders are still violent offenders, no amount of Liberal pu$$yfooting is going to change that. Motives are irrelevant at that point, unless you are completely out of your mind and declared insane. Can there be done more to make sure that innocent people don't get executed, sure. We already keep death row inmates alive for decades before executing them. But what this comes down to is, do you want a Law where people guilty of hurting/killing another human being can be executed. Just that option, not automatic Death penalty, but the mere option. And for me, the answer is yes.
There's always a reason for peoples action if you know their story. For Ted Bundy he said porn became and addction to him and at some point he couldn't get his regular ''fix'' by watching **** anymore and reached to point where he had to get his kick from doing more extreme stuff.
Taken hours before his execution, I don't think he got a reason to lie at this point. But, as mentioned, you can usually find the cause of a problem by looking at flaws in society and where they (society) lack prevention, education on an issue.
Researchers generally agree that Bundy's sudden condemnation of ****ography was one last manipulative attempt to forestall his execution by catering to Dobson's agenda as a longtime anti-****ography advocate, telling him precisely what he wanted to hear.[237][238] Bundy told Michaud and Aynsworth in 1980, and Hagmaier just the previous night, that ****ography played a negligible role in his development as a serial killer.

Yeah so lets outlaw **** and spoil it for everyone else as a prevention measure, because of a few psychos. Or did you have something else in mind. This is where personal responsibility comes into play.
The Death Penalty itself is supposed to be the deterrent and scare a lot of would-be killers from harming anybody. Many don't take this into consideration when they go out and commit a Rape-Murder combo. But many do, they're scared of losing their freedom and their life. Not all states have Capital punishment, so you can still get away with it depending on your location. Nothing should be off the table, rehabilitation programs or Death Penalty. The black and white way of looking at this is not having the option of one or the other.
Sidenote: Barack Obama disagrees with Supreme Court decision regarding no Death Penalty fo anyr Child Rape case (and I agree)
