  • Why is Conservative talk radio such a thing but not liberal..

Why is Conservative talk radio such a thing but not liberal talk radio. Is it because the establishment in office is liberal? Or that the media usually takes a liberal slant to things?
Maybe I'm wrong, maybe there is a prominent liberal radio shows with big followings. I just know of Sean Hannity, Limbaugh and others who can seemingly drone on for hours dissecting and discussing political issues. Does it work the other way around for a hard left liberal radio show for them to talk hours on end basically explaining their school of thought and grounded ideology? I feel like the main reason might be liberals for the most part don't provide a huge audience whatsoever for their media head like NBC. Like they aren't as active in day to day political blather or serious issues (it can be viewed as either of the such they way mainstream news media is today) as conservative audiences.
It'd be funny to see like Sean Penn do like some podcast haha!

They'd probably get **** ratings. Passionate conservatives generally have big personalities. Even if I disagree with them I could listen to them for hours. Liberals are unbelievably bland people who have virtually no passion because they're afraid of offending someone with their tone.

NPR has massive ratings. Just instead of some idiot giving you their opinion about politics and current events, NPR gives you actual news and lets you make up your own mind.

Most news listening/watching people are educated and aren't liberal..

Liberals prey on people that aren't smart, need help in society, and don't follow news or understand government policy..

That's why foxnews and Rush Limbaugh have massive ratings compared to msnbc, etc

Does anyone remeber "air america" the liberal talk radio channel, and how quickly it failed...

Liberals prey on the stupid,, that's why they divide everyone into groups, never talk about the individual and only gain power thru the "low information voter"

There is a reason why msnbc has 300k viewers and a rerun of orielly factor has 7 million..

Righties want to know what's going on in the world, liberals could give two craps as long as they getting taken care of by government.....

That's why the educated workers in the private workforce predominately vote republican, and the high school diploma Union guys and third worlders vote liberal..

Literally, please name the diverse city where liberal policies have worked

Morning Edition and All things considered have ratings right up there with Limbaugh and Hannity as a matter of fact. ME is even higher than Hannity. I'd much rather those "dumbass" youngsters get informed listening to NPR than mindless entertainment like The Daily Show or conservative talk radio.

Yes, NPR has good programming and their news coverage is very comprehensive. Also, some of the talk radio shows seem very fair and objective. On Point with Tom Ashbrook is one of the better ones. Tom is extremely fair and does not seem to exhibit any obvious biases.

If NPR is so successful, why do they need public funding?
