Russia is definitely on the political down, yet Wladimir Klitschko, a Ukrainian who campaigns against Russia (his brother is the mayor of Kiev for crying out loud) got a pretty fair shake in Moscow. I love how thats conveniently left out of your post. As far as Russian boxing, its most definitely on the up. World of Boxing is expanding quite nicely, and Russia itself has a few world champions worth talking about.

Do you have a source saying Povetkin would get 50% in America? Or have you just made this up?

Do you think its just coincidence that Povetkin came in at his heaviest in the Huck fight, looking completely out of shape and unmotivated? The fight where his stamina was certainly questionable. I know it doesn't fit your particular agenda, but its worth considering.

    All of this ^^^^.

    Absolutely spot on!

have u ever been 37? even 27? dude if u really believe that with time your lungs get better u need to put down the pipe..

the distance is the same basically..that was my meaning i know the affairs, but with a name like klit and not to far of a distance u can smooth some things out..and understand not all parts of russia have the same political stances...the upper parts to their regime is horrid..just like how teh biggest fights are always the onces thrown off over there on a yearly basis
I know Russia very well, being patriotic is instilled in Russian culture. Have you ever been, never mind beginning to understand it? You can go to an anti-Putin rally, full of people who despise the regime, but most of them will hate outsiders thinking the same thing, its a very strange but interesting way of thinking. The Russia-Ukraine situation is on state and 'independent' TV nearly everyday. They would be far more likely rob a prominent Ukrainian on a pretty big stage, than an American (black or otherwise). Their rivalry with the US isn't dead, but its nowhere near Cold War levels. Geographical distance means naff all, Western Ukraine and Russia are practically at war with each other, albeit the Russian side trying to use a disguise. Most Russian's celebrate the 'liberation' of Russian Crimea and support the PR of Donetsk - quite frankly why would the Russian public outcry when both areas are majority Russian. 'Smooth things out' is just downright laughable. Been an experience, as always, talking to tiliheels.

They could have quite easily, and probably justifiably, disqualified Wlad or knocked some serious points off. The scores were all fair, even in the rounds where nothing really happened.

Lucas Browne has just fought in Grozny.

Grozny is the capital of the Chechen Republic

Browne's opponent is the best buddy of the Chechen President

The Chechen President is a warlord that has been accused of numerous human rights violations and is also very close to Putin

It is alleged that the Chechen President did a lot of dodgy things in the aftermath of Chagaev-Oquendo

Browne knew all of this and still went to Grozny

If he can do it then so can Wilder

the whole reason of not negotiation is to win the purse bid and hold the fight somewhere where wilder my consider a place worth dropping..

im sorry but that is wat i see happening now...he's been too fair with these guys and he see' slimy all over this just like i do im sure of it
Well team Wilder obviously didn't offer much money hence their team putting up a pathetic $5m purse bid for a fight which should have been a big ppv fight in the states.

is browne a champ? um no he was not...
did chagaev turn down 50-50 to fight somewhere else? no he did not

and we have yet to see if browne's win gets tainted like they tainted guillermo jone's win...so u might want to hold off on this stance buddy

also browne didnt go to the judges and fought pretty poorly for several rounds vs a fat chagaev...
