  • 2011: Good or bad for boxing?

Let's do a little recap of the year. What has happened?

    - Way to many robberies (Lara, Mathysse)
    - a ton of upsets.
    - No really major fights (Mosley - Pacquiao was a fluke, and so was Bradley-Alexander and Wlad-Haye) Mayweather - Ortiz is a good fight coming up though.
    - Some good fights in Morales-Maidana, Berto-Ortiz.
    - Also terrible refereeing by for example Russel Mora.

All in all, do you think this has been a good year for and of boxing? Personally I am deeply dissapointed with all the **** going on in the sport today. Not saying good things hasn't happened. (Wlad - Haye and Bradley - Alexander was necessary)

What do you guys think? How would you rate this year so far?

The good has outweighed the bad 2011. Far more exciting year than 2010. I see robberies. True, but Lara-Agbeko have been the only ones robbed to me this year. This year so far have had way more upsets than 2010. Which was a bad year for boxing in my opinion.

I've enjoyed it so far... and just to think what still awaits will definitely make the year a memorable one.

        Ortiz-Mayweather, Pacquiao-Marquez and Cotto-Margarito. I can't wait.
