Daniel Day-Lewis is British/Irish. Charlie Chaplin was also English by birth. And Brando in Apocalypse Now was lol, certainly not most notable.

sam jackson needs an honorable mention. so does buster keaton.

Don't have one. Way too many to list. Specially when you take a film class and learn about everything from Charlie Chaplain to stuff from now-a-days. Too many great actors.

But I'll say... no Clint Eastwood? And DiCaprio definitely deserves top 10 status.

Didn't wanna have Godfather in Brandon, Pacino and De Niro's most notable so switched it up a bit. Give some credit for variety

Checked it up and you're right about Chaplin never becoming a US citizen, that's a fluke.

Easy, put in Paul Newman instead of Chaplin.

sam jackson needs an honorable mention. so does buster keaton.

Not too sure about Samuel..

He've starred a lot of blockbusters like Jumper, Iron Man, Negotiater.. etc

But in all the major films he've pretty much only been supporting cast.. Goodfellas, Any Given Sunday, Kill Bill 2 etc..

His biggest movie is by far Pulp Fiction..

Going up against say.. De Caprio with movies like Titanic, Gangs of New York, Inception, Blood Diamond, Shutter Island, What's Eating Gilbert Grape, Catch me if you Can etc etc etc...

I'm not really too sure about a top 10..

Honorable mention for sure.

A few Good Men -> Stole the movie completely
The Departed -> Solid all the way through
The Shining -> masterful performance
Batman -> Excellent as the Joker!
