Keep in mind during their prime run Shaq was without a doubt the best player in the NBA and Kobe was the consensus number 2.

I just saw your post in this thread where you named like 5 duos. that doesn't officially count as a pick.

I've always thought Baylor and West were the best duo. You can't deny a 38 and 31 point season by 2 players on the same team.
        i said it first.

i think most years it was like....

        baylor 30 ppg 10 rpg 5 apg
        west 25 ppg 5 rpg 10 apg

        something around there.

dont think it's best but better than jordan and pippen.

          Kareem and Magic

          Combined Championships : 6 ( 73,80,82,85, 87, 88 )
          MVPS : Kareem 6 Magic 3 = 9

          Jordan and Pippen

          Combined Championships : 6 ( 91,92,93, 96, 97, 98 )
          MVPS : Jordan 5 Pippen 0 = 5

          ---

Scored more points : Kareem and Magic
More rebounds : Kareem and Magic
Issued more assists : Kareem and Magic ( * I think, didnt check it out )

MJ & Pippen not being the best duo of all time just goes to show how great Jordan really was. He won more with an inferior second option according to people on here. Even more reason why I believe he's the GOAT

              6-0 in the Finals

took down Stockton and Malone 2x, Payton and Kemp, Shaq and Penny, Isiah and Joe, Barkley and Johnson, etc. I rest my case!

Tim Duncan was All NBA first team and the best PF in the game at the time but 1 was Shaq and 2 was Kobe. Allen Iverson was actually ahead of Duncan in the early 2000s.

early 2000 was tim duncans year.. he was the consensus #2 and never was kobe and shaq were considered the #1 and #2.

kobe being #3 is already a stretch during those run. KG was in his prime 2000-2005 and he was the double double machine coupled with 5 assist per game.. kobe was the perfect compliment to shaq though..

Willis Reed and Walt Frazier, may be the best duo. Jordan and Pippen might be, but I think Reed-Frazier more functionable. In college basketball, it's Rasheed Wallace and Jerry Stackhouse for the mighty North Carolina Tar Heels.

                      I say yes..

Really only Kareem and magic, and Kobe n Shaq are really in the conversation.

You gotta have like a decade run and not just a few seasons.. so sorry
                      Penny n Shaq
                      Wade n Shaq

Stockton n Malone would have been in the discussion had they won at least 1 ring
