A promoters job is to get his fighter the most money they can get and other advantages in negotiations such as ring size, gloves, etc. Well when you have 2 fighters under the same company the promoter is only going to do that for the fighter who makes the promoter the most money. Hence the promoter is no longer do the best job for the other fighter who makes him less money. That **** just ain't right!!!! That is bad for boxing.
    it goes both ways.

but automatically saying in-house fights automatically mean bad is wrong.

some of the best fights in boxing were promoted by 1 person/company.

easier to make fights between them.

sometimes a promoter holds back matchups because he doesn't want his fighter to lose. when he has both fighters , easier for them to take the risk.

    1. no matter who wins , he's their fighter.

    2. if it's a close fight , rematch and they both win including the promoter.

      • Didn't Floyd only join forces with GBP for the JMM fight onwards? His fight with Oscar was just a fight and the Hatton one was co-promoted by GBP on behalf of both fighters not having a big promo banner.

Don't know the exact details (nobody on this site has seen any of the contracts) but I believe he signed a 3-5 fight co-promotion deal with GB starting with JMM.
