  • Reason why Pacquiao was ahead on the scorecards.

    Reason why Pacquiao was ahead on the scorecards is because Marquez had to fight Pacquiaos fight, he had to stand more and trade punches instead of his usual moving and counter punching style. Marquez can outbox Pac every time but he will never get the decision so he was forced to fight Pac's fight. You also gotta remember that Marquez is 39 and he is fighting at a weight where Pac had every advantage.

    At 39 fighters the size of JMM are usually shot to ****, knocking out Pacquiao was an amazing achievement.

        For me Marquez was just waiting for that one counter shot. When PAC went down in the 3rd rd. Marquez knew that he had the power to ko him. But PAC was Licking him though. I was surprised by Marquez's power too.

            Fair enough but you could also argue the point that if Pac wasn't so aggressive trying to make a statement, that he wouldn't have gotten KO'd and won on points anyway.

              Marquez just wanted to get the win he always deserved and Pac has always been aggressive, maybe more aggressive in this fight because he knew he had lost all the previous fight.

                Or;

                The reason why Pacquiao was ahead on the scorecards was because he was winning the fight.

                  He's always ahead weather he is winning or not!

                    That's an untrue, biased take on things.
