I don't like Tito's chances. Sure Hearns was chinny and had a tendency to get into exchanges, so Tito is a live underdog.
But Tito was vulnerable to the straight right hand. How many guys had a better straight right cross than Hearns? Not too many. Not to mention Tommy was a brilliant boxer from the outside, with an excellent jab, a vicious left hook to the body, some nice movement, very rangy.
Tito's chin was alright, he went down a lot, but the only time I saw him really hurt at WW was early in his career. Usually his knockdowns were flash KDs where he recovered quickly and was good to go. But it wasn't top notch and eventually those right hands will put him down and out, or the fight will be stopped.
however if he chose toe to toe like what he did to Hagler, lights out baby
Hearns really only went toe-to-toe in the very early going. Hagler cut him off and swarmed him, then got him on the ropes toward the end of the 1st. Hearns's legs did a dance. Tommy tried to box and move the rest of the way, but kept getting caught.
