Just because he can be allowed doesn't mean he will. There was nothing in the article whatsoever suggesting that he would do 10 years and be free. That article you posted contained one sentence about his sentencing: He will get a minimum of 10 years, and you're overreacting and getting emotional from that one sentence?

In all likelyhood he will spend far longer than that locked up. The sentence is indeterminant so if you are a bit of a fruitloop and might pose a risk, they will not let you out... ever. He obviously has a bit of a temper which will not get you far in jail and does not look good to the parol board.

p.s. The murder rate in the UK is not rising but has actually been falling consistently for the last few years so we must be doing something right.

This young girl was brutally stabbed to death in an unprovoked attack and the murderer only gets 10 years, and you don't think there is a problem with the justice system.

Life with a minimum term of 10 years is a longer sentence than a 12 year tariff. This is a fact, one that I have repeatedly demonstrate. He has not been sentenced to ten years, he has been sentenced for life with a minimum term of ten years. This is more than a 12 year sentence in which he could be and most likely would be out in six.

The judge didn't mention the money in sentencing this guy. He committed a string of robberies armed with a gun, threatened the staff every time he robbed. We also don't know anything about his criminal history. We do know he showed disregard for human life in a quite extraordinary crime spree.

That's an important fact. He committed a string of serious violent crimes. Do you think somebody who committed 15 murders would get life with a 12 year minimum?
