Not really sure Mayweather is ducking Khan.

      Bradley might've though

It's ok. Now we get to watch Mayweather against a slow brawler. You know, just to change things up a bit.
Which is similar to why Tim didn't fight AMir-both didn't want to risk losing a huge future payday. As for Prescott-Amir could've rematched him immediately which would have made your point irrelevant.

AMir is lucky-what other fighter has gotten so much press for doing nothing?

          Come on.

Immediate rematch? He was 20 and had just been flattened in seconds.

          Clearly not an option.

Khan was still a prospect when he was KO'd by Prescott. You don't do an immediate rematch - look at what happened to David Price. Khan moved up and gained confidence, won world titles. If Prescott stayed relevant, the fight would have been relevant.

Khan was told he'd be getting the Mayweather fight in May. If he fought Alexander and got a cut or an injury, that would be off and Khan doesn't fight in September because of Ramadan. Tim Bradley was never told when he was getting Pacquiao. He ducked Khan, signed with TR, fought Casamayor and then fought Pacquaio a year after he was supposed to fight Khan.

they fought sept 2008. amir fougt again in dec 2008, then in march, july and dec 2009. Maybe not an immediate rematch, thats fair. But 1 of these 4 fights shouldve been Prescott.

OK on immediate rematch. See what I said to Laced up.

Come on dirk, Tim knew when he was getting th Manny fight, NO way his management allows him to sign with TR otherwise. there is no difference in what the 2 did IMO.

Kahn is very tough to outpoint so if you don't bang all that hard e.g bradley and to a lesser extent floyd he could pose difficulties.

Floyd can get away with not fighting him though as really, whether he'd pose difficulties or not, kahn doesn't really deserve the fight. He made a big mistake listening to bad advice and not fighting alexander

I don't really see that, Khan took two easy fights (Sorry MAB), was offered a title shot and then fought his mandatory (I believe) - at which point Prescott had lost twice and only won one fight that was very uninspiring.

As much as many people would have liked to see the Prescott fight again, once Amir was on world level and fighting on PPV for titles, and Prescott was losing to Kevin Mitchell et al, that fight was out of the window.
