How do you explain the rise of India economically on the global scale and the fact Pakistan has taken the complete opposite turn.

The obvious reasoning is that India is much more stable geo-politically and thus attracts more FDI. Also, bigger middle class brings in more investment. But per capita etc, it is not so different.

India has much worse absolute and relative poverty for instance.
