This is probabbly stupid but, during the referee's instructions did a fighter ever actually have any questions or comments?
Remember Atonio Tarver said "You got any excuses tonight Roy?"
I was just wondering about this

Not actual questions but a lot of talking ..

Prime Shannon Briggs against Lewis said during the introduction
'Not tonight Lennox, not tonight not tonight' than he got knocked out.

Ali always talked prior to figths

Tarver asked Roy Jones Jr about excuses.

I've never seen it, but I don't think this was a real question, it seems like another guy trying to (not so) cleverly slip in the Tarver quote.

You see guys (trainers more so than fighters usually) ask for clarification on what's low on the trunks sometimes even after the ref explains it.

i never seen a fighter have a question but i have seen trainers point things out to the ref. im not sure but i think john scully told the ref to watch hopkins' head before his fight with dawson. ive also seen trainers point out that the oposing fighters trunks are high.

Abner Mares asked if he could punch below the belt and the ref nodded.
