Good fight for Wlad.
Pulev
Jennings
Stiverne/Wilder
Fury/Chisora
That's a nice run if he can get all those fights and win them all.

C'mon, Jennings is a worthy opponent, RING top 10, ABCs top 5, on every boxing specialist top 10 HWs list, WCB mandatory, how much worthy can a contender become?
You can't compare him to Mormeck, Pianeta, Wach. Leapai was WBO mandatory so blame the WBO for that.
IMO, the fight against Jennings is all about positioning Wlad for the WBC title fight ,as he will become mandatory with a win and the beltholder will not be able to avoid him anymore. It's almost as if Wlad was purchasing the right from Jennings, considering the matchup is a mismatch in reality. It also makes sense because it fullfills the 2nd fight from the HBO contract and Wlad gets to fight in the US which he seeks.
There is a chance Wlad may fight Chisora on that date, if he emerges victorious out of his weekend bout. If the winner is Fury, then they will try to stage it in the summer, on a big stadium, maximizing the revenue and legacy, because it will be a blockbuster event.
As for the WBC beltholder, don't expect him to fight Wlad anytime soon, specially if it is Stiverne, tied up to DKP. This fight should happen from september 2015 on.

There's also other ways they could avoid Wlad I'm sure.

Bernd Boente, the manager of Wladimir, told BoxingScene.com last week that Jennings was one of the names in the running for Klitschko's next fight.

Tyson Fury 6'9 fighting a 6'3 lightheavyweight. Forgive him for looking a tad big in instances.
After he took up the game plan they had worked out though, stay close and slow Steve down with body punches, it was different. A lot of people like to dis Cunningham because of his small size, but he is one of the fastest, most mobile heavyweights out there. Without good footwork, Fury would never have been able to stay in his face and make the plan work the way he did.

Wlad holds the belts of the WBC's rival organizations though, and isn't even rated by the WBC at all, so I don't think beating Jennings would make him mandatory. It would take Jennings out of the frame for a while though and strengthen Wlad's hand considerably if he asked again for a unification fight as soon as Stiverne/Wilder is settled.
It would also be a great way for Wlad to get the American fans interested in watching him again. Wlad vs Jennings in the USA would really get their attention, I reckon.

What a waste of time and money. Jennings has no shot, guy couldn't even beat Perez clearly, he didn't even win imo.
If HBO are putting up $3 million, get the Fury-Chisora winner (probably Fury), I guarantee US fans would even prefer that.
