This is it. Anyone could lose in any fight but when you're doing fantasy fights its only a handful of fighters that anyone would dare put one dime on against either of the two.

You are all over the place.

Pacquiao officially weighed in heavier than Mayweather. What Mayweather weighed on the day of the fight is idle speculations as an unofficial weight was not obtained. What Mayweather weighed inside of the ring is also irrelevant as there was nothing in the contract prohibiting him from re-hydrating to a particular weight.

He didn't make Marquez move up two divisions, it was Marquez's choice to move up in weight. If he was against a lesser fighter ( Like Pacquiao) the decision to move up in weight could have paid off with a career defining victory but it didn't because Mayweather was too much for him. At the end of the day fighters like Gurerrero, Mayweather, Roy Jones Jr. and Duran, Holyfield, Pacquiao etc. have shown that a fighter can move up in weight and have success. Marquez himself showed that a fighter can compete at a higher weight class when he brutally slayed Pacquiao, he also showed that he was a competent fighter at 147lb (Where Floyd beat him).

Any fighter is beatable in almost any era. The thing that makes this particular era different from those past is that now there are ways to avoid the fighter that can beat you.

Mayweather is tough in any era, would be tough for alost any fighter, but of course historically there are a few that would beat him, Mayweather vs Prime Duran.... Please.

Ward is different. He has looked great so far, but being impartial, he has some good wins, that's about it, he's not superman yet. Ward has a little more to prove, the thing is though I'm sure he will do just that.

i agree with these posts. It's hard to beat someone when they're ducking and waiting for the right time to face their opponents. While completely ducking real threats

                    Really?

                    Marlon Starling
                    Simon Brown
                    Mark Breland
                    Milton McCrory
                    Donald Curry
                    Lloyd Honeyghan
                    Buddy McGirt

All are opponents that could, and would, present their own unique set of very difficult challenges for Floyd. It's one of the deepest pools ever at 147 and Floyd would come out with a loss somewhere if he fought all the top guys.

He is not unbeatable. At 147, against these guys, incredibly skilled, hard fighters that make 147 today look utterly pissweak, he would have hard fights against every opponent above.

he's beatable in his own era, the issue relies on him not fighting anyone worth a damn. he ducked everyone of importance when the time was right.
