All Access: Showtime goes into the lives of Alvarez and Lopez

Showtime Sports, the television network that will be hosting the bout between Canelo Alvarez and Josesito Lopez, is airing a string of episodes that they are calling All Access. The episodes will premiere on Wednesday, Sept. 5th and will go into the lives of Alvarez and Lopez.

Interestingly, the first episode seems to go deeply into the life of Lopez, in which we learn a great amount about the personal life of Lopez. In this episode, Lopez gets emotional about visiting his father, who was put to jail for 9 years due to a drug trafficking charge. Lopez states that his father will get out in 6 months and his family needs his father more than ever.

Even more, Lopez’s father is facing deportation and Lopez hopes that he can keep his father in the U.S. Though, it will not be an easy task to keep his father in the U.S., Lopez hopes he can get the right help to avoid the deportation of his father.

Nevertheless, the boxing world should take a close look at the episodes televised by Showtime as it gives you a deep look at the lives of each fighter. In a brutal sport, many fighters have grown up in tough environments that they have had to come out of in order to get to the successful place where they are at now. Thus, it seems from the first episode that Showtime has done a good job of displaying some of the emotions that many fighters face outside of the ring.
