Yes, because it would signal he is past his best.

Pacquiao wants a future in politics and even though he could fight on, how may more wars and defeats can he take before it affects his health.

Freddie would do the right thing and tell Pac to call it a day.

Pacquiao can retire being the only 8 weight world champion in boxing history and regarded as the greatest fighter of his era, doing the unthinkable time and time again.

I don't think he will lose to Rios though.

      Yes.

He has no business losing to the likes of Brandon Rios.

If Pacquiao loses again, one thing will be confirmed.
Floyd blew his chance of fighting the world's superstar
in the sport. He's the guy who ducked Pacquiao. That
my friends will be his lasting legacy.

if he loses (I don't think he will) by close/robbery decision (Bradley), then no. If he loses by brutal KO (Marquez 4), then he needs to call it a career

If he loses he can still fight on. ESPN and ballroom boxing is still a paying gig.

There is absolutely no reason a Manny Pacquiao with something left to give would lose to Brandon Rios. If he struggles in any real way he should retire, let alone if he loses.
