  • 1.5 Million Buys Rumored For DLH-Pacquiao

Indications are that the pay-per-view result will be around 1.5 million buys, which is a phenomenal number. It’s a tribute not only to De La Hoya’s ability to sell, but it points out the widespread popularity that Pacquiao has obtained. This guy isn’t popular just among his countrymen in the Philippines.
From Kevin Iole's mailbag over at yahoo, those are great numbers considering the economy.

Guess it blew out the rest of the PPVs in the year. Not a surprise.

In hindsight that would make it the second biggest non heavyweight PPV ever, not bad...not bad at all.

Wow. I was thinking it would be lucky to make 1 mill tbh.

I think it's going to be a little bit higher. Let's wait official word. As of today they were still tracking ppv's
