Ward does a great job varying the rhythm in his. Kind of a 1....2-1. Makes it more difficult to anticipate and more difficult to defend or counter.

Kessler was way too slow and way to unprepared for that style of fighting, he tried to take a step back and counter with the hook but he was too slow that Ward got into his chest first or ducked under that hook. Even at the end of that exchange Ward got into his chest and while both his hands were free, he didn't know what to do and Ward wacked him with a short right.
