im counting atleast a dozen who were champs at the time and more than that if you count former champs.
hernandez, corrales, castillo, mosley, delahoya, hatton ,gatti,manfredy,ortiz,marquez.. etc etc...the list goes on and on!
    pacman on the other hand..........
a tough fellah(assuming hes been clean all along) has been viciously kod thrice now and had issues early on with making weight then gets with ole freddie boy who has him fight at weights between genuine title weights to gain advantage and some mickey mouse world title.
should never have been sanctioned as a genuine boxing match/s.
floyd on the other hand, will only fight at an equally (correct) weight and use pure skill in the ring to win and not use tactics employed by the likes of ole freddie boy.
i believe pacmans "eight world titles" are nothing more than four earned the correct way.
catchweights requested by freddie are nothing more than pure cheating in my view.
Floyd has pulled one on you buddy: Think about what you said in your post ...mickey mouse world title and not earned the correct way.
    - Hernandez: Floyd admitted to using drugs on his hands so he can hit harder than otherwise possible ...
    - Corrales - had the flu, was severely weight drained and thinking about doing some time in jail.
    - Castillo - Floyd thought it was going to be an easy fight but many thought Castillo won the first and gave Floyd trouble in the 2nd as well.
    - Mosley - Floyd admitted that Mosley was old and he was going to use a game plan that took that into consideration. Plus Mosley was inactive for about 16 months!
    - Oscar - Oscar's trainer said he couldn't pull the trigger anymore. Oscar was more a promoter than fighter by then. His record on his last 4 fights prior to Floyd was very average. Many say it should have been 1-3. Also not very active.
    - Gatti - at the end of his career, changed his fighting style and had trouble with making weight.
    - Ortiz - Had only one life and death fight at WW then Floyd thought he was perfect to fight him. Floyd SUCKER PUNCHED Ortiz!
    - Hatton - Was king at 140 not 147. Floyd asked Hatton to come up to 147. Hatton wasn't able to do what came easier at 140.
    - Marquez - Floyd asked a Marquez that had just gone up from 130 to fight at 146. Floyd even cheated 2lbs ....

Just more of the same intellectual dishonesty from Pacturds. Floyd's opponents sell the tickets because Floyd isn't a drawcard, yet MP can't top his numbers with the same opponents. What kind of logic is that??

      • dudes be tripping sometimes on here

last year was kinda tough for Floyd...first he got hit with some time and was supposed to go sit at the beginning of the year...he played his Vegas Power Card and got his vacation pushed back and instead of having a easy fight against YOU KNOW WHO...he was forced to dance with a bigger, stronger but less fresher Cotto than he would've had to at WW...a more seasoned Cotto imo....gave Floyd a good dance, the toughest in years....then he had to go sit his ass down for a few months, came home and broke ties with his best homie who may or may not had more than his hands in the jaw, I mean jar of his eye candy

Ghost and Nelo represent a easy year for Floyd imo...no matter how much they try to hype it...BOTH dudes are nothing more than minor threats at best...very minor!!...I think the game should change from "Who Can Beat Floyd?" to "Who Can Beat Broner, Donaire or Ward"...I see one of them losing before Floyd..BOOM!!

I don't see any WW's or dudes coming up who can win 7 rounds against him....or anybody with the game to catch him....Sergio is the new kid on the block, when it comes to finding a Floyd opponent....not fair to either dude regardless of the weight they'll fight at....I would LOVE to see that fight, but we gotta be REALISTIC....they're too far apart in size...it is what it is

          Mayweather vs Guerrero
          Trout vs Alvarez
Broner vs Burns (hope it's Gamboa)
As much as people don't want to admit it, this would be an awesome PPV card.

            • What is taking so long to get this signed and announced?

It seems obvious that the card is going to be Mayweather-Guererro with Alvarez-Trout on the undercard.

Just get it signed and announced, GBP said on December 1st that the card would be announced in a weeks time from then.

If Floyd had signed to fight Canelo, all you closet Pac fans would say he was ducking the Ghost. No matter who Floyd chooses to fight, he will always be accused of ducking someone else.

Besides, Caleno needs to focus on Trout.
