Amare's knees are shot, plain and simple. The main reason they are losing, though is part the fact that they are facing good teams now, and part the fact that the Knicks rotation is too deep. They have a lot of good players that don't mesh, and the fact that Dantoni is a bad coach compounds that problem. He doesn't know how to make solid lineups.

Melo is just a pouting cancer who isn't happy unless he is the focal point of the team. He's a bad match for a coach like Dantoni because Mike is not tough enough to tell him to ****off.

The Knicks need a solid defensive coach. I though Mike Woodson would be able to give them some kind of identity, especially with Chandler and Shumpert being defensive stalwarts, but no one else on the team is buying into it. They are as bad as ever and have gotten worse since Melo and STAT came back.

They need to trade somebody, and I think it should be Melo. He doesn't mesh with the team. You won't get equal value for him, but that is ok. Sometimes, less is more. Just get a guy who can play within the teams system, Like Iguodala and a draft pick or something. That would be good for both teams.

Too much is put on Lin right now. He shouldn't be taking 18-20 shots a game. Especially when he's only hitting 5 of them. Something is wrong when Amare only gets 7-8 shots a game and hits 5 and Lin takes 18 and hits 5 during their losses.

That is all Lin's game is. It was the same at Harvard, it was the same in the summer league when he was a rookie. He is a limited player who can really only go to his right.

Linsanity was a complete farce to sell jerseys, give the NBA some hype, and give ESPN something to talk about during that sports lull after the Super Bowl. Dude is a C- level NBA point guard, he isn't even the best PG on his own team IMO.

He'll learn. I don't think he'll be what Rubio (if the injury doesn't kill his career) will be. However, he should be a solid point guard for years to come.
