  • Round by round breakdown of your average workout

    I was wondering what everyone's workouts were like (say non sparring days)

    I'm only six months into it and would like to improve my workouts , but right now they usually go like this:

    Jump rope-2 rounds
    Shadowboxing- 4-5 rounds
    Heavy bag- 3-4 rounds
    Mitts (with coach)- 2 rounds
    Speed bag- 2 rounds
    Double end bag- 2 rounds
    Various drills with other fighter- 2 rounds

    5-3 minutes skipping
    inbetween the 1 minute we do 3 sets of 15 reps
    then stretch
    one round shadow boxing.
    I do muay thai so 43 minute rounds doing different kick drills
    eg round 1 kick for kick, round 2 kick knee, push kick knee, 4 kicks each leg
    then after that we either do pads, sparring or drills
    sometimes we may do a little bt of bagwork after but not much 2-4 rounds or so,
    then we do some excercise depends on the day and who is there
    stretch

      Warm up:
      3 rounds shadow box
      3 rounds jump rope
      stretch

      handwrapping

      Boxing:
      3 rounds mitts w/ trainer
      3 rounds speedball
      3 rounds double end bag
      3 rounds bag
      3 rounds speed ball
      > 3 rounds double end *if motivated
      3 rounds mitts

      cool down/ stretch/massage with trainer

      * 30 sec brea in between rounds. somtimes take a round off in between if not tired
