Las Vegas, Nevada - World Boxing Council champion Floyd Mayweather extended his perfect record to 44 victories on Saturday, beating Robert Guerrero by unanimous decision in their welterweight title fight.

Mayweather, who was defending his title for the first time since serving close to three months in jail last year after being convicted of domestic violence, dominated a bloodied Guerrero for the majority of the fight at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino. All three judges scored the 12-round fight 117-111 in favour of Mayweather. [Click Here To Read More]

No disrespect to Robert but he was just a tune up fight for Floyd. I anticipate Floyd announcing something bigger and better for September...possibly Canelo. Let's hope.

Floyd doesn't need a bigger opponent, he needs one his own size so we can see him finish fights too! I have nothing against seeing the master perform but I want to see him finish too, nothing wrong with that. Floyd has been fighting bigger opponents for too long.

Floyds great enough to be beat the top 154lbs on skill alone but hes a much more dynamic fighter at 147. The extra weight takes away some of his hand/foot speed. And those 10 oz gloves dont do Floyd any favors either. At 36 I would understand if he decides to keep it at WW.

Why cant Canelo move back down to 147? Hes only 22. Or what if Floyd pulled a Manny and said Canelo cant blow up over 160 the night of the fight. How do you think that will play? Because I agree with you 154 is not Floyds most dominate weight class. Against Canelo Floyd would be giving up age and weight.

Masterful peformance by Floyd I loved how quickly he adjusted to Guerrero RD 1 was Guerrero's brightest moment. He should done more in that round. But anyway who else is left for Floyd at 147? Alexander? Brook? Maidana? more competitive fights at 154 even though it would be harder for Floyd

This is probably the smartest, funniest thing I've ever read on boxing scene.

If Floyd ask for any kind of stipulations its not gonna play well with the haters. People get mad when Floyd uses his right.
