you've got to really be an old school boxing fan to understand and appreciate his style. sticking behind his jab, keeping his hands low, drawing his opponent in. thats old school fighting man. the problem is the new era are bought up with flashy technicians like floyd and ward who dont get hit, are very slick and keep themselves moving for 3 minutes. thats fine but it aint exciting.
what you see with froch is an old school fighter. he stands there and wants to trade. he knows he'll get hit but his mantra is 'ill hit you twice as hard'. it isnt as silky as the modern calibre of fighters but its effective, the opponent gets drawn in thinking it will be an easy shot to land but ends up getting 2 thrown back into his face, leaving him demoralised. kessler was constantly puzzled for most of that fight. what a fight. damn i love frochs style.
