The myth of religion causing war

Well, some conflicts are caused by war. In modern times, as much as 10% of conflicts may be caused by religion. But most aren't.

North-South Korea
Chinese oppression
Russia-Ukraine
Kurdistan-Turkey
Mexican Drug Wars
South American troubles

Religion didn't cause World War 1 and 2, people need to STFU about religion being some typical source of war.

If you see religion as being somehow separate from other more secular ideologies then you might have a point. The problem with ideological warfare is that the ideology is held up to be more important then the lives of the people the war affects. Considering that religion is inherently about the idea that human lives are less important that the hurt feelings of the omnipotent magical sky-daddy, it's no accident that religion is a major player in so many conflicts.

I think you mean the myth that religions other than ISLAM cause wars. Islam=Arabic for 'slaughter anyone who doesn't believe in our fairy tale'.

More like they're the only ones to stand up against White christian colonialists. I don't what you're talking about, good ole white christian colonialists like yourselves having having been waging wars across continents, slaughtering the natives and building your colonialist civilizations for centuries. Religion can and does cause war. What doesn't cause war is the most high, Jehovah God, or Yeshua. And that's because religion has absolutely nothing to do with God. Religion is a man made term for power and control.
