  • Does DLH Need to Beat PBF to Solidify His Legacy?

Yes, DLH has fought all of the best of his era and he will be remembered as one of the greatest fighters of his generation but what is his career defining victory?

-He has lost to all the best fighters he's faced (Trinidad, Mosley twice, and Hopkins).
-His best performances have come against average opposition (Mayorga, Vargas, and Gatti).
-His best wins have all been close or controversial (Quartey, Whitaker).

Does DLH need a career defining win against Mayweather to solidify his legacy?

The Whitaker fight was close, the Trinidad fight was slightly less close. So no biggie, he was in close battles with many of the best fighters of his era.

If he does beat Mayweather, it ranks witrh those other wins, sure. But it doesn't by itself make the list.

Even though its not on record most boxing fans know he beat Tito and got **** on by the judges because of the last three rounds and beat Mosley the second time. I think hes without a doubt one of the best of our generation and with a win over Mayweather on May 5th not a single boxing fan could deny that.

Technically he lost but we all pretty much know he beat Trinidad and should have gotten the nod in the 2nd Mosley fight......

To answer the thread question.....NO absolutely not but it would'nt hurt at all.
