          In no particular order,

          1. Dawn of the Dead (1978)
          2. My Sassy Girl
          3. The Chaser
          4. I Saw the Devil
          5. Cast Away on the Moon
          6. A Bittersweet Life
          7. Police Story
          8. Josee, the Tiger & the Fish
          9. Grave of the Fireflies (Animated One)
          10. Cowboy Bebop: Knockin' on Heaven's Door

Found my biggest connection with Cast Away on the Moon and Josee, the Tiger & the Fish.

I'm obsessed with the Italian Mafia for some reason. I think i may have been Lucky Luciano in another life.

            You got any suggestions mate?.

its oldskool B&W and a couple of relatively recent releases...

angels with dirty faces is an ATG of the genre...

Not necessarily in order, but here it is:

                1) Shawshank Redemption
                2) One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
                3) American History X
                4) Green Mile
                5) The Departed
                6) Goodfellas
                7) Taxi Driver
                8) Warrior
                9) Intouchables
                10) Good Will Hunting

If I'm not mistaken, all of these movies have at least an 8.0 on IMDB.
