      both bands are sell outs , thats the truth ..im a big fan of metallica but they are as fake as the ones metallica fans are cirticizing other bands of...

      nothing is real about rock and roll, it's about looking cool and fooling the public

      thats why im a fan of songs , never the band anymore...they are all phonies...tho they make great songs..

          are you familliar with discant x?

          they had a bassist who became a bassist for color it red...

          but i think you are correct... selling out maybe a part of the reason U2 and 'tallica are still here with us...

                    Death Magnetic wasn't terrible. The second half trailed off into the slower crap, but the first half had some decent stuff.

                      they were so huge in their prime that people forget they suck now....all the teens with older brothers just become fans of the classics...to you know, be cool.

                      personally, i don't dig either band that much...but they do have some great songs...
