this poor bastard just lost his 2nd wife, thankfully not before he was able to insure her, after and against all odds, his 1st wife died under some pretty awful circumstances, too. now, because he was smart in both cases of protecting his significant others with a solid financial backing before their unfortunate demise he's now alleged to have killed them.

Some people are too greedy and self-centered to hide their machinations. That poor woman probably hadn't the slightest clue there was even a problem in the marriage, all the while this guy was planning and plotting to push her to her doom on X marks the spot. I'd say this kinda stuff lowered my faith in humanity but this is what humans do all the time....
