    Golovkin by far.

Floyd is a boring defensive fighter who just tries to run out the clock for dull decision wins.

Golovkin in contrast brings excitement because he has good offensive skills and always goes for the KO!

      Currently Golovkin.

Comparing them fairly, meaning taking into account that Golovkin is in his first weight class, comparing him to a Floyd at 130, his first weight class. Floyd Mayweather at 130 had by far the better offense. But that was when he didn't have to worry about bigger men with more power and therefore become more defensive.

I would love to see Golovkin's offense at Light Heavyweight and Cruiserweight, which would be the equivalent of Mayweather fighting at 147 and 154.

And the fact that the number alone is 30 lbs above Golovkin's fight weight. Lol.. for that to be an accurate comparison, Mayweather's offense needs to be successful at LHW, and still that's a 25 lbs increase, 5 short of what GGG needs for CW. If MayMay had GGG's offense, he wouldnt fight for points wins.

              Very good post.

If we compare Floyd at 147/154 with Golovkin, then Golovkin.

But when Floyd was fighting at 130-135 and maybe 140 (Gatti) was a much more offensive fighter. He threw more combos and would push the action much more often.

                Voted for Mayweather.

                1) His offence has be tried and tested against superior opponents.

                2) In his younger days he was pretty fierce.

                3) Offence is about more than just clobbering the opposition. You also need to consider whether that offence leaves you vulnerable. To that end, Mayweather's opposition can be graded for its efficiency.

Floyd. He makes it look easy against tough guys. GG makes it look easy against C level fighters.
