MANILA, Philippines – If Floyd Mayweather Jr. has his list of Top 5 boxers, with him being the best of all, his Filipino rival Manny Pacquiao also came up with his own list of all-time best boxers.

The eight-division former world champion said that unlike his American rival, he puts Muhamad Ali on top of his list.

Following Ali is Julio Cesar Chavez in second, George Foreman in third, while Evader Holyfield and Oscar De La Hoya come in at fourth and fifth, respectively.

Pacquiao said he refuses to include himself in the list of all-time great pugilists because he prefer fans to decide on the issue.

“’Wag na natin isali ang sarili natin, bahala na ang mga tao sa kung sino ang nasa puso nila,” the Filipino sports icon told ABS-CBN News' Jay Dayupay.

“Hayaan na natin ang next generation na maglagay sa atin diyan.”

Meanwhile, fight analyst Ronnie Nathanielsz said he disagrees with Mayweather’s list of best fighters because of the backgrounds of the boxers he chose.

In an interview on Tuesday’s episode of The Score, Nathanielsz commentary also ran in contrast with Pacquiao’s choices.

“Unang una, he (Mayweather) put Roberto Duran in No. 2,” said the analyst.

“I will never put Roberto Duran, he's a fighter who turned his back and he said 'no mas, no mas’ (no more, no more). If he can't show courage in the ring then how can be in the Top 5?”

“Pernell Withaker, maybe, because he lost to Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. [and] that was a bum decision,” Nathanielsz went on. “Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., 100 fights, but he should have never been there because he fought patsies most of the time. He didn't fight really good competitive fighters.”

“Ali, how can you place him on the Top 5?” -- With a report from Jay Dayupay, ABS-CBN General Santos

      DLH is great but...that great?

Holyfield may have a few arguments in his favour, imo he is a top 3 ATG heavyweight, just behind Ali and Foreman so not a bad pick.

This is why it's subjective, everyone is entitled to their opinion but neither one of them know sharticles about boxing. Sugar Ray, THE Sugar Ray has rolled over in his grave twice this week.

Pac can't say SRR or Armstrong or Pep because there is no footage readily available to watch.

10 minute skipping videos and 2 minute highlights is not enough. I like that Pac is being honest with his list and is not full of himself trying to be some boxing historian, acting like he has seen Robinson's career, or Robinson's opponents' careers.

lol I've personally seen an interview where he admitted he thought he was the GOAT. So nah. Nice politics from a politician though.
