  • Withouth boxing my life is worthless!

I have gotten myself a huge injury while i was stretching myself cold 2 weeks ago. At first i tought its no biggy and i continued to train and run and now im suffering hellish pain from my right ass that hits all the way to my right calf!

So i called in myself sick for this whole week at my work and in horror afraid it could be hernia and that ill never be able to box let alone do anything else since every step i take hurts, also while i sleep, I went to the doctor this morning and luckily its not hernia.
Apparently i have torn some small tendons.
But man i wont be able to do any kinds of sports for atleast 2 weeks, and that is a long time for boxing.

    Please pray for me.

Don't rush back in... or else it'll be an injury that nags you for the rest of your life...

Also, get a hobby... something completely unrelated to boxing.... you need an outlet or you're going to get burned out.

My biggest fear is that it wont heal and ill walk like a cripple for the rest of my life.
Inside a burning desire to be good at boxing and feel im wasting my life at this moment by not doing anything productive that relates to my boxing.
I guess there´s nothing to do and sit this one out. Better is would have been if it didnt happen at all ofcourse.

Theres alot you can do... Study film, read about boxing, read about your injury and PROPER STRETCHING (IE when and how)...

I'm getting an intense vibe from you that makes me think you'll jump back in too early and reinjure yourself.

But seriously dude, you need to get your head on straight. Injuries happen, its no big thing, just rehabilitate properly, and follow your physicians advice... If you're really concerned see a sports medicine specialist, a family practice DR might not fully understand the intensity behind boxing and may clear you too early.

I can understand your fears. I had some injury effects for almost a year: some elbow problem that did not allow me to throw straight punches! and ankle pain, so I could not jump rope / bounce. Very frustrating. I wanted to quit many times! But now everything is ok. So, hold on and believe pal! It is gonna be all right!

You, me or nobody is going to hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard you hit, it is about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward, how much can you take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done! "

You can't box FOREVER in life... everyone, even the bionic man retires.

Try not to be overly attached to one thing in life... open your life to many other hobbies.
