Speaking of tournaments to unify titles, why aren't those done more often? Or why are titles not unified more often these days? Is there really more money for the fighter to not unify?

Promoters and mangers don't want to lose their meal ticket and the fighters themself are worried about losing.

That's true. I never could understand why they tend to strip titlists that hold another sanctioning body's belt. They end up giving it to a lesser fighter when we would think they would want to have the best. I have always felt the WBC,WBA, IBF & WBO organzations should have their title as sanctioning bodies stripped!
