One can never cease to be amazed by Nintendo's ability to change absolutely nothing over the years and still remain financially viable. The gameplay looks exactly the same as the NES version. They've taken "don't change a winning formula" to the furthest extents of overkill due to their fanbase. In Japan the Wii is successful simply because of its novelty as a gadget, it has little to do with the quality of the games (something anyone here barely even seems to take notice of these days).

The quality of games is acutally pretty high from in-house developers. 3rd party developers seem to just produce shovelware crap, Sega on the other hands seem dedicated to the Wii and publishing quality games, House of the dead: Overkill, Madworld and The Conduit all this year.

The proportions show that title produced for the system show that there are more crappy titles than good ones but the ones coming in from 1st party developers are good, and titles from the 3rd party are slowly getting better games like World of Goo, Conduit, Madworld, House of the Dead: Overkill, Two new Final Fantasy games coming out and more coming out
