I never got the opportunity to see Perkins fight, but he fought everywhere and fought often, almost always giving a good account of himself. Boxing needs more fighters like Eddie Perkins.

A good friend of mine not only saw him fight on several occasions, but met him as well. He calls him a horribly underrated and over-looked fighter, and a good guy as well.

RIP; Eddie was a quality fighter who fought men with winning records throughout his career (No Easy Touches) ) and against high caliber opponents. Extremely honest fighter who traveled the world and took on all comers. Fought Loi about 5 times I think and beat him too. Also lost a desc. to Napolis at 140lbs. Ray.

Great stuff as always HH. But just curious, when you say "managed", are you distinguishing that from being "trained"?
