Has anyone read the book 1984? What other science fiction books would you recommend?

Started reading this book last night in bed, I read up to chapter 4 before going to sleep.


It's an okay book so far. A little confused at times, but I understand it. I don't like it that much.

Farenheit 451 - Ray Bradbury
A Brave New World - Aldous Huxley
I, Robot - Isaac Asimov (this has very little to do with that dogturd of a Will Smith vehicle)
Sirens of Titan - Kurt Vonnegut

Those are sci-fi movies with social commentary rather like Nineteen Eighty Four.

Which is science fiction by the way.

Oh and you could try The Time Traveller by HG Wells.

It's #5 in some best sci fi novels list I saw. So I read some reviews on it, read the summary and bought it. So far just a whole bunch narrating for 4 chapters, very little dialogue. It's an okay book so far. Hopefully it gets better.
