"Más vale morir de pie que vivir de rodillas"

This kind of mentality has brought us some incredible fights and incredible fighters. Everyone knows that the sport is called "Boxing" for a reason. But it is much more than that. To Mexican culture, tt's about facing a challenge to your full capacity.

Actually, I've answered the question.. OVER AND OVER.

It's STRATEGY. If you can take a guys punch and you think you can take him out early, sometimes it makes more sense to do that then to try an doutbox a slikc opponent.

Sometimes, the boxer would lose if the aggressive brawler can impose his will. A good example of that is Roy Jones against Glen Johnson.

Johnson was taking SOME shots, but he was doing so in order to get his work done.

That's not always the best thing to do, and you need to know when that idea works. But it does work. It's a part of the way a lot of Mexican fighters train. Hard-nosed, taught to be aggressive and win or keep trying to until you can't. As stated previously, sometimes it works.

TYPICALLY, you'd have to say it works, as a matter of fact, considering right now JR. FLY, JR. BANTAMWEIGHTS, JR. FEATHERWEIGHTS, LIGHTWEIGHTS. Not to mention the countless trinket holders who are Mexican, not to mention the 30% of the p4p rankings they make up (top ten).

Israel Vazquez can box, Raul Maruqez can box, Juan Manuel Marquez, Martin Castillo, Fernando Montiel, Jhonny Gonzalez, all can box. You said TYPICAL, but THESE are the typical Mexican fighters. You're thinking of STEREO-TYPICAL fighters.

        Big difference.

For me a win is most important and not only that to fight for another day is also important.

For some people they are going u pin weight it would be dumb enough to brawl at someone who is physically stronger than you and it also comes from at night fight a weightclass above or sometimes 2 weighclass difference.

It all about strategy and using " The arts of war"

The same people who called Floyd runner if they cheering for another fighter who is a boxer like Mijares they would say : " He schooled him" or " He boxed his ear off." which is a hypocrite.

But for me as long as you get a W it good and if you do it without getting unneccary hit is even better.

And once again, it's not even the majority of Mexican fighters who take THAT many shots to get one in.. It's usually a 2-1 thing. TYPICALLY, they are known to have good chins and a great body attack. So, it's a strategy that cost them, but a strategy that works, often times.

If you worry about getting Hit and moving your Head Secondly....

                  What is that Called..?

running. if the fighter is worried about getting hit and he moves in and out, side to side and moves his head AND also initiates combat during this time (what Ali, RJJ, the Marquez Brothers, De La Hoya and occasionally PBF did/does), then thats called Boxing.

another thing to shut the hater off.

If a boxer is running where he runs off? He only moves around. There is a square ring that he could move around it not like he going to go out and run back stage.

If his oppenet is ****** enough not to use his brains to get him then it not the other boxer problem.
