Miguel Cotto, young and hungry and skilled in many ways will dispose of Tony without a hassle. People think just because hes a pressure fighters and high punch output yada yada will make this fight hard for Cotto.

To an extent YES!, but overall no. Tony telegraphs alot of punches and tends to throw the widest shots and im telling you "Mark My WORDS," that Miguel Cotto will counter Tony and end the night shocking Tony and KO'ing him. Tony loves to throw the right hand lead following a left hook to the body (Or uppercut,) and he throws it alot! This will be the beginning of the end for Tony.

Many people think this fight will be a boxing match due to Cotto boxing and relying on jabbing and running (For the dumb people who don't know boxing)what not, but Tony will force it to be a fight and Cotto will break down Tony slowly and if I may say "quite dominant, not easy," but he will point out Tony's flaws and KO Tony. That's right knockout.. Tony won't beat the count.

Tony has been hurt plenty of times and so has Cotto. You don't need a hard chin to get rocked, it can be on the temple, the forehead and what not, but Cotto indeed has the power to rid of Tony, as well as Tony has the power to rid of Cotto. Will this fight be competetive? In my honest opinion, I would say no. I see Cotto breaking Tony down bad, and many will be surprised.... **** even shocked when they see how few punches Tony will land on Cotto.

Trademark left hook downstairs and upstairs will be the beginning of the end.

Cotto will dispose of Tony in a onesided counterpunching festival. Many don't give Cotto credit for his punching and speed, but accumalation will be a factor in this bout, while Tony is getting older and fading with all those battles he has had, taking uneccesary damage for no reason..

Tony indeed has a chance, only if Cotto lets him.. Ala Kermit Cintron..> Staying in the inside and allowing TOny to execute his punch output and land damaging blows, but for this fight, you will not see it.

As for height advantage, I think it would just benefit Cotto, also knowing that Tony isn't all that tall, but I just find it hard to hear that many think Tony will make easy work of COtto and KO him.

Judah who had Cotto hurt with his blinding speed, who hurt Mayweather couldn't finish either fighter. Now imagine a telegraphed looping punch?

Honeslty.. Think with your heads and not your culture people. Cotto is the skilled boxer and fighter come on July 26th. Many things can happen, but when it comes to boxer/slugger Vs Slugger..... The outcome can be 50/50, but the skilled boxer always rises with a win.

Cotto will rid of Tony in 9 rounds. Accumalation... Past battles will catch up to Tony, in result to an unexpected body shot that will have Tony down and not beat the count. I wouldn't be surprised if Cotto get knocked down in this fight or even KO's Tony to the head!

PS: Don't bring up past fights on how Cotto was hurt with Corley or Torres. Its meaningless.
great post............i got margs by brutal ko in 10...........once margs sees that cotto has no right hand........by round 6 or 7........i expect margs to walk through cotto......cotto backed everyone up he has fought..........he won't back margs up..........cotto will box...........trust me........this is cotto's first true fight against a guy capable of beating him........we'll see how he does............cott fans are scared to death.....come july..........your nightmare will be front and center..........lol.......

You actually make a good point... Cotto can counterpunch Margarito... if Clottey can peekaboo Margarito and be successful, so can Cotto. But if you believe that Clottey gassed because of the pace Margarito set, so will Cotto. Cotto will have to be in tremendous shape to peekaboo and counterpunch Margarito. Even Cotto's own team says he needs to be in great shape to win.

I think Cotto does have stamina problems, that's why he switches to southpaw sometimes because he gets tired of throwing the left jab and hook, and that's why he ran against Mosley.

Cotto can counterpunch with Margarito, but it will be a far easier fight if Cotto boxes and moves... Margarito is way too slow to beat Cotto if Cotto fights smart.

If you had offered up a decent reason for this way of thinking (and there are a few) then fair enough, but you don't.

I'm not sure whether you hate Tony or want to be anally violated by Cotto, but, either way, grow the **** up.

Cotto weight drained to fight Torres at 140, fought dumb and got caught, once he woke up look what happened. If Cotto had fought like that early, Torres wouldn't be talked about.

Corley rocked Mayweather as well, so bring that up pointless. Corley is like a Judah.. Talent to a certain extent, but doesn't know what to do when he hurts someone.

Lol Anally violated by Cotto? You're gay to even bring that up.

No hate here bro. Just common sense. The skilled fighter will prosper... Tony will give Cotto a kiss on the cheek after the fight.

Everyone gets hurt, and Cotto was hurt buy fast punchers bro. Tony lacks speed and telegraphs.
                    wtf is that about? lol

Too many Cotto fans or as undefeated would say, too many Puerto Ricans are rootting for there fighter i mean culture.

Margarito is not that fast but he slows down his shots on purpose and his timing is great for a slow fight right? You'll be surprised how many times Margarito gets to Cotto with his looping shots and slow hands.

Lol I wrote that because some douche said some **** ****.

And if you notice after fights, the fighters give them kisses on the cheek and **** lol. haha

Theres to many nationality fans on here now. Its not even Cotto vs Tony, its PR vs Mexico.

Its just the way it is. Just because I pick Cotto, people think im picking him because he is Puerto Rican. Its dumb. Cotto clearly is the more skilled boxer; therefore my choice leans towards him.
