Schaefer mentioned making this fight for September after the PPV. I think it's likely to happen if Schaefer is talking about getting it done. It's a good fight for both men. Each guy has flaws that can be taken advantage of.

I like that fight too. I know Maidana very well but Broner is less proven. A fight with Maidana would show how good Broner is or isn't.Broner can punch and he should land often on Maidana. Maidana is game and tough and never stops throwing hard punches. That fight would show how much power Broner has at welterweight. Maidana is sure to hit him some hard punches and test his chin. I would give Broner credit for taking on a real tough guy if he takes the fight.

Floyd has been in there with DLH, Mosley, Ortiz...and soon Canelo, Matthysse's power won't phase him at all as he's seen better. People need to be realistic, Matthysse doesn't bring anything Mayweather hasn't seen.

matthysse is prime though, highly crafty and intelligent, he's incredibly strong, he'll probabley be on equal ground with floyd(which is saying alot considering floyd is very strong himself) despite being shorter

his power will carry, but he wont peterson floyd, he'd have to put on a sustained beating that the ref calls off, so he wont ko him, but he can hurt floyd and i can see floyd being hurt numerous times in the fight
the most important thing here though, is matthysse's workrate, once the guy starts working, he doesn't stop, he doesn't get tired, and his defense is solid, although i dont really trust his chin and can see floyd hurting him

Broner will beat Maidana, but he will not beat Matthyse. Broner is hoping that Garcia will beat him to take him out of the picture. Then again, Broner won't fight Garcia anyways because they are "Friends".
