man i didint say there would be NO pure boxing left, i said the replacements are getting fewer and fewer, notice in my topic initially i ALREADY NAMED donaire and calderon. Im a fan of dawson, but im not really sure about him yet. Sergio Martinez comes to mind also but honestly i could not recall his name. But there are very few left is my point, If you had bothered to read the names i mentioned, youd know that is NOT what i said or how i phrased it.

Then my apologies to you and your loved ones. Regardless, I think there will always be pure boxers in our sport. Its the evolution that makes it distinct and a gentleman's sport.

Somewhere out there, there are future fighters who will realize that this certain fighting style will serve them best.

boxing is doing great without floyd.obviously 2008 was really a good year for boxing and so far in 2009 even without floyd.although it's good to hear his back,it's not a big deal if he stayed in retirement.we've got plenty of fighters to look forward to watching bringing more excitement than floyd.

Exactly, to say that pure boxing ability dies with Floyd Mayweather is as stannish as it gets.

This boxing weekend was a huge success due to Pacquiaos destruction of Hatton. Even if Floyd had not made his announcement, people would still be hyped up about Manny.


Nobody outside of boxing message boards care about Mayweather fighting Marquez. Even the general public knows hes too small and old to be any type of real threat.
