No one is actually complete. Everyone has some flaw...

      I agree......

If Floyd would do that, criticism of him would decline by 90%.

Funny how losses never hurt any other great fighters of the past. Many times, it often enhanced their legacies.

Then my apologies to you and your loved ones. Regardless, I think there will always be pure boxers in our sport. Its the evolution that makes it distinct and a gentleman's sport.

Somewhere out there, there are future fighters who will realize that this certain fighting style will serve them best.

boxing is doing great without floyd.obviously 2008 was really a good year for boxing and so far in 2009 even without floyd.although it's good to hear his back,it's not a big deal if he stayed in retirement.we've got plenty of fighters to look forward to watching bringing more excitement than floyd.

No it wouldn't people who dislike his personality and/or his fighting style would find something to complain about

And the only guy he needed to fight at 147 was Cotto to me...

Exactly, to say that pure boxing ability dies with Floyd Mayweather is as stannish as it gets.

This is just another, "lets cry for Floyd Mayweather" thread.

If Floyd is not needed, why is his name all over the front page along with Pacquiao? It takes two to tango...

and he was afraid of that one guy as well.

Like I said, 90% of his critics are actually boxing fans and not just "haters".

Probably because he used the Pac/Hatton weekend to promote his upcoming fight?

                      Maybe?

This boxing weekend was a huge success due to Pacquiaos destruction of Hatton. Even if Floyd had not made his announcement, people would still be hyped up about Manny.

Nobody outside of boxing message boards care about Mayweather fighting Marquez. Even the general public knows hes too small and old to be any type of real threat.
