Rubio & Geale cans? Murray next who should of had a win over Martinez and been Middleweight champion.

Being white is enough for me.

Golovkin is no more white than Andre Ward.

He's mixed, like Muhammed Ali, Tiger Woods and Barack *****.

          Devastating punching power.

Kind of special don't you think?

BTW...He has a white Russian father and a Korean mother...not that it matters.

His surname is Russian and his father is Russian, so yeah, he's white. I think he's half Asian. He was born in Kazakhstan in the 80s when it was part of the Soviet Union. He is as white as can be. Looks Russian, Russian father, Russian surname, Russian accent.

Trout was never down or stopped in the amateurs either. When he stepped up to A-level though, vs Canelo and Trout, things changed. He was even down against that Dawson dude.

Lomachenko had 1 loss supposedly, in 350 wins. He goes and loses to Salido, a tough B class fighter.

Pro ranks are different, you just never know until you actually step up. As decorated as an amateur is. It's like batting .350 in the minors, when you get to those Major League pitchers, you'll be lucky to settle for .270-.280, .300+ only if you are great. You can get strikeout after strikeout and be flawless as a pitcher in the minors, that will not always translate in the majors. Of course baseball is different, a rookie pitcher who was great in the minors will face the best hitters in the league his first 3 years. In boxing, well, look at GGG's resume from 2006-present. How can we know Golovkin is truly a .300 hitter with a resume like that? We know Lomachenko is truly a very good pro, he fought good comp right out the bat. Golovkin is still not there yet after 9 years as a pro.

Trout was dropped by Vanes in the amateurs.. I wouldn't doubt it happened more often since his chin is pure glass. And you've just went into detail how GGG is a white hope, pathetic from a long time poster, Kev.

Geale is white and Rubio has white splotches on him. Sergio is at least 75% white, possibly higher. As you can see, none of those guys count. A hope can't beat up other hopes and act like he did something.

Golovkin's only legit win is Stevens. He a brotha, he the real deal. He looks the way a champion should, just like lineal unified HW champion of the world Deontay Wilder.

To be honest I find the term "great white hope" insulting and plain ******.

It implies that white boxing fans are waiting for a "savior" of sorts to prove that whites are not inferior to other races in boxing. Looking at boxing's current landscape, the are quite clearly not inferior, especially in the higher weight classes, so there's no need for a "great white hope".
