Ok, here are the facts. Those who have been with BS for quite some time know that we really didn't start the racism ****. First and foremost, Pinoys were ridiculed by Mexicans for being nuthuggers of Pacquiao before and that we don't know boxing and then when Manny started pummeling the Mexican greats, idiotic posters start with the "Pinoys eat dogs" (no xcaret, you were not the original poster who made that comment just in case you claim that) and dissing out our country. We retaliated basically. I guess you can ask Run w/ Knives and ULTIMATE for that matter. I even had the beef with RWK before but came to an undertanding when everything was explained.
We are groupie-ish like you said because we are united in supporting the one seriiously talented fighter that we have. FYI, it's almost always the case when we send athletes in international competitions. We give all-out support to our representatives to the extent of some being ridiculously biased. We are not like Mexico that has 50% of its population engaging in boxing that's why our fan base is solid and undivided.
And it sounds like you don't want people to watch or comment about boxing when they don't know much about the sport. FYI again, that's how people learn. I myself was a noob in boxing and its history (knowing only tyson and other heavyweights) when I came across boxingscene and IMHO i have improved my knowledge and perspective on what boxing is. Though not as vast as those of you who watch boxing vids everyday of their lives, it's a way of supporting the sport. So when Pac retires, you'll still see a lot of me here bragging on how great he was when he was active and learn about boxing some more.
Just be happy that the sport is getting much more attention and that people are trying learn new things about boxing while they nuthug.

Lol, I know a plenty of pinoy fighters like Navarette or Adigue but frankly speaking, barely anyone else besides the pinoys themselves and a couple of boxing historians know about them.No need to answer... If he doesn't know any Pinoy big names that have been champs or H of famers in boxing he don't know **** and you know his **** is
BIASED...Talking about biased Pinoys on here.. Some of the Mexicans are the most biased in here....They are just insecure bitches.
Thus my statement is in power.Comment

great post. but it takes only a few haters like pip and xcaret to mess up a good thread.Ok, here are the facts. And do you know why thats is???? Elorde is a hall of famer... Limon got his ass beat by Navarette but Limon is more remembered..... Pinoys have had a champion in every decade since the 20's.... Mexicans have been supportive of their boxers in the U.S. and are more remembered IN THE US because of Mexican pressence and fans close by...Why would a Mexican know about Elorde, Pancho Villa, Navarette, Espinosa... Unless a Pinoy told em... In the U.S. we constanlty get reminded of Mexican greats.Comment

Wrong again, I did not correct myself(which would be a change in the original thought) Just explained my statement and you kiddies bit into it like a hungry dog into a leg of a deadman. Too bad for you I was right, so I am still waiting for names. Who exactly gave your country a recognition in a boxing world? Villa? No one knows about him without the google. Elorde, maybe? Same.
In fact, that's how are these fighters known, google fighters. Because there is no way in hell a decent boxing fan will tell you who they are, what weight they fought and when they fought without the google.Last edited by BrooklynBomber; 10-23-2007, 03:17 PM.Comment

Mexicans are huge in the U.S... they are everywhere spending money and promoters know that... Only difference... Pinoys because of Pacquiao are changing ****... Go to the Philippines and Z gorres is more popular than Chavez... Thats because of the market... The Market is pro Mexican in the U.S..Wrong again, I did not correct myself(which would be a change in the original thought) Just explained my statement and you kiddies bit into it like a hungry dog into a leg of a deadman.
